This
field identifies the data type to which the other parameters refer. This is a
single character that will be converted to uppercase.
Simply a
name that describes the data type. Only used in the main screen of the setup
program.
Defines
the order in which the types are listed in the main screen of the setup
program. For an alphabetical list, set this to the number of the type character
in the alphabet (eg A=1, B=2).
If set
to zero, then item codes will not be automatically assigned.
If set to a numeric value, then the next item for the current type will be
automatically assigned a code consisting of the type followed by this number.
For example, if the type is 'N' and this field is set to 3, then the next new
item of type 'N' will be given the code 'N0003' automatically. This field would
then be incremented to 4.
This
field contains a value to indicate how dates are used by this type of item.
Values in use are:
Y = dates are used; date field will
default to 'YY-MM-DD' to indicate the date format.
T = dates are used; date field will
default to today.
A = anniversary dates are used, where
the year is not applicable; date field will default to 'MM-DD' to indicate date
format.
N = dates are not used; date field
will default to 'N/A' to indicate this.
If set
to the code value for a data item, any new item of the current type will
automatically have its text area set to be the same as the text area of the
item listed here.
This field is normally left blank.
Set
this value to either '1', '2', '3' or '4' to have the appropriate fast key use
this data type.
Set to '0' to indicate the data type does not have a fast key.
Note that LINKZ does not check whether more than one data type is assigned to
the same fast key. Only one will be used.
